A few months ago I read a review of the NAIM CD555. In case you don't know, this is a 15000 GBP CD Player, the best in the world. Yes you read that correctly, thats 15000 pounds, or the price of a car. Now come on, lets get serious, I don't know a lot of people who want to spend that kind of money on a cd player. So I started searching the internet for other, cheaper alternatives. When I spoke to a Naim Dealer about this, he said he sounded better than SACD (I thought hmmm interesting CD better than SACD??) . After a lot of searching, one day I came accross this website and found many similarities between the NAIM and the attraction DAC. For instance both have extremely good power supply. One problem with NAIM, it costs 4000 pounds, and with the attraction you get pure power supply for a cost of a car battery.

Also both use multi-bit DAC's, not the Sigma delta type. After reading the reviews, I immediately ordered one and got it last night.

At first it sounded very strange. Let me explain. I have never ever heard a digital source sound so good. My ears needed to adjust to it. The typical treble harshness that you hear is just not there. Only ACCURATE timbre reproduction. You will also be surprised how bad ordinary CD players will sound to you once you hear this DAC. I have not heard this NAIM CD555, but I'll bet they sound quite similar i.e. good old fashioned analog music. The way it used to sound before the days of CD and IPOD.

Buy this today and hear music like you have never heard before. And yes this does like better than SACD. SACD still sounds very good, but not quite like analog vinyl, but this DAC does. I have done AB comparisons of SACD and CD's and honestly. this sounds fantastically accurate to the Vinyl sound.

Charles, Thank you so much for giving me music enjoyment back in my life. You are a genuis. This is the best money I have EVER spend in my whole life.
