I have finally put the DAC to work.
The test was made on a terrible hearing environment, (my broken leg just gained another fracture they didn´t see in the other X-rays, so I am pretty limited to what I can accomplish right now but I couldn't wait any more...). Frankly, under these listening conditions I was convinced that I would not hear great difference between the output of my Imac to the amp and speakers and the DAC connected via TOSLink.

I was wrong. Very wrong... I listened to tracks I knew well and had heard in much better equipment and acoustic conditions and...they sounded better. I discovered sounds I had never heard and more detail than I thought possible.

I will get back to you when I hear this again in a proper listening room but right now I must name you the 'Robin Hood of audio': giving to us poor what only the rich are able to hear :-)) !!!
