Thanks - the DAC arrived yesterday - I enjoyed looking at the motorcycle magazine that came as packaging!

Initially I thought the sound was muffled and flat. I checked all the connections and decided to leave the unit playing for a couple of hours. When I returned I thought the sound had opened up and was starting to sound promising. By the end of the evening it was sounding really good.

Anyway, day 2 I tried the optical connection and listened to Eric Clapton's Crossroads concert - it was bloody brilliant. Everything sounded right, timing is spot-on and the bass is superb. The sheer kick from the drums is the closest to a live drum-kit that I've been able to create so far.

I will continue over the weekend but I'm very pleased so far. I'll give you a further update if you like once it's all settled down.
